'63 389 Tripower upper rad hose

Do any of you all have a preference or recommendation relative to an upper radiator hose for the Grand Prix?

I see the Ames catalog shows two, either of which would fit based on the description.

When I installed the tripower I reused the 4 bbl hose that was on there. The fit is OK but wondering if it could be better.

Thanks in advance -

K

Not sure.

I used what I had on hand -

This hose has developed a sort of cut on the underside:

Original part number for 61-63 P/8 was 538568 for manifold outlet. 538821 for hose. Which should be the PP249 number. Back in 1961 there was a Craftsman News item cautioning to cut 1 inch from the radiator end to prevent wearing a cut where the hose rubbed the left air silencer snout. But I presume the 538821 number had taken that into consideration and if you don't use the big air cleaner anyway it shouldn't matter.

Thank you;

I looked at it again last night and I think I may have enough length to cut the diseased portion off and put the clamp up higher.

Thanks again -
