Use an ohm meter.

Between the two tabs…

Off = infinity

High = really close to 0 ohms

Low = some ohms

If 0 ohms in high or low it’s bad. Don’t toss it though, it can be used as repair parts or repaired.

I would be interested in your “bad” ones.

Any chance you have any for the early grid style defrost? Like the one in the picture below?

You have any pics of the front/back of the ones you are talking about?

The one in your picture is the blower style.

How much for blower style 70 71 switch interested in 1 or 2 depending on price maybe package deal? Got a clean formula 70 bezel with defogg ,ac and rally guages

Stan65 12-10-2023 08:01 PM

Those are later model with the grid style glass that uses a LED light. Notice the back of the one I posted has a tube that an incandescent bulb slides into.

I’m interested in the incandescent tube type and the On/Off blower style.

Not sure at the moment how to check the later ones out. Tomorrow I can get some out and check and let you know.

I want blower style 70.71 like 1st puc with a red fuse. I'll send pics when I get home

Stan65 12-10-2023 09:15 PM

Ramairnacho,

There are no fuses or lights on the blower style switches. The blower style does have a wire wound resistor (looks kinda like an old glass fuse). The lights are on the grid style.

Ramairnacho 12-10-2023 09:31 PM

Oh the long red tube isn't a fuse? I thought it was

Very old thread, but do you still have any available? I need the Hi Low, no light, for the rear defogger ( blower motor).
