This has been sitting here since at least 2018... My son claimed he spoke to the owners grandson and claimed he wanted $400. I cannot confirm that this is true... If it is, I would rather see this go to a Pontiac fan, instead of rotting away.
I did look in the window and DID see a 4 speed shifter and pedals.

If this is someone's car on here, message me and I will have this removed.

I have nothing to gain or anything else from this. I would rather someone use it before it becomes a hood on a Hyundai or something else.

it is a 69 supposed to be original motor im not conviced but after he told what he supposedly turned down it didnt matter anymore. He believes its worth 80K restored. it is not a 428 car, it is ac, tilt, windows, locks, probably a few other goodies, car however.

einstein 01-05-2024 01:48 PM

What does think it's worth as it sits? PS I'm just a curious (nosy) bystander...

mysticmissle 01-05-2024 01:51 PM

what do you think its worth? needs quarters rockers, some fender work. engine side of ac is missing. if its original block its not original heads i dont think. Should be 16s correct? wrong air cleaner new england car

'ol Pinion head 01-05-2024 02:21 PM

Believe the engine would have 62 casting heads, have only looked at a few '69 400 stick GP's, & one had the 70's mod of bolting '71 96's on it.

Value...hard to say, maybe 5-6K. Would present that the seller is on crack if he thinks that 400 GP is worth more than 45K restored. Can also guarantee that unless the seller is hands on talented, mighty resourceful, & has a deep stock of high quality parts, chances are he'll have more than 45K in it with a decent local showcar level restoration. Have a '69 GP partscar that had the same code interior in it...ugly, a major reason that particular '69 is a partscar.

Also own, as a longterm project, a loaded burgundy '69 428HO J. Has red bucket interior, ATC, tilt, sport wheel, rally guages, pwr win, & pwr seat, am-fm reverb, rallyII's... Beautiful car when done, but a money pit.

it def didn't have 62 looked like 1968 # 15 to me. after he told me he turned down more than double your 6k estimate, i was just talking pontiac with a nice guy, lol i prob would have made an offer if he was in that 5-6 range but when you own it you can ask whatever you want, i guess.

I missed a key word (he) in my question. What does the current owner think it's worth?

Yeah, no, not really. The $80K number is after restoration. All we know *for certain* is he rejected an offer of more than 12K. Even that is vague. Anywhere from twelve to eighty. Where's that Magic 8 ball?
