Drag Racing The TriPower Technique Question

So here’s something I have never heard discussed.
As you are watching the Christmas tree countdown are you revving the motor up with just the center carb or do you have all three open?

Hi Keith,
Stick

I'm at 5600 RPM on the 2 step at WOT.

Center carb. After the light goes green, it depends on the traction and power. What setup do you got?

I'd say nothing to worry about! ;)

But seriously, on any manual tripower's I've owned - even stock ones - holding the secondaries open with the clutch disengagaged would hit redline in no time..

I hold the RPM at 2000. 2nd yellow from the bottom side step the brakes and nail the gas pedal.
Car info:
1962 Tempest
1961 389 Tri-power
700R4 transmission torque converter stall is 2200
