The "50 years ago" Thread got me to thinking-who's the oldest member?



I'm 77.

I'm with you Bob 'til Sept. I think there are several a lot older that think we're kids. :rolleyes: I didn't answer the 50 years ago thread because who cares?

Turned 85 this past April.

I am like the lady on the TV commercial (don't remember what she is advertising) "age is a number, and mine is unlisted!".

But I rebuilt my first Holley carb 65 years ago.

Not me, getting ready to start my 8th decade in August. I can't tell you the inspiration I get when I read the accomplishments of those my senior on this forum!

Seventy three this fall, God willing that I should get there. But I don't feel a day over 83, lol. JK. I'm blessed so far with good health, no prescription meds. As Dave Ramsey often says, "better than I deserve". Only problem I have is that I can't afford my Pontiac hobby, along with all the other interests I have.

Well, if you were 3 you'd be my age, or you could have been 30... ;) I like to say I'm 17, but with over 50 years of experience.

Not nearly, but at times I'm feeling like I should be. Too many times I ask the old guy in the mirror 'Who the heck are you?'

I see that Arnie Beswick is a member, although he apparently has never posted. I would assume he's the most elderly of us.

Not saying I'm old ... but I'm not buying any green bananas.

To those of you here over 80 and still working on cars, even if it’s at a slower pace then you use to be , I am very impressed and have a bunch of respect for your ambition and drive. I think you are inspirational for the rest of us.

I’m not the oldest but just spent 2 hours looking for a flashlight that I just had in my hand a minute ago. I had it to look for the sun visor screw that just hit the garage floor. Found the screw on the carpet in the car and still haven’t found the flashlight. I’m 72.
