69 GTO Power Disk Front Brakes
 

Hey guys, I am rebuilding my passenger front disk brake. The caliper piston that I removed looks different from my Raybestos replacement. When I put the brake pad in the new piston the clip that is on the back of the pad does not clip into the new piston, has anyone rebuilt their brakes. I want to make sure I have the correct Raybestos parts. I emailed Raybestos on Saturday, but I have not heard back from them yet. Part number for the caliper is DPS85010 and the boot and seal kit is WK524. Thanks, Marc.

they are 1 year castings

would you mind posting pics of these calipers? Everything I'm seeing online lists the GTO calipers for multiple years and I'm curious now if my own '69 GTO has correct calipers or not.

Thanks Scott, my car did not come with the power disk brake option. When I bought the car 29 years ago I changed the calipers to these rebuilt ones. Now the front passenger was sticking a little so I am trying to rebuild them myself. I wanted to make sure I ordered the correct parts. I am going to buy a new rubber brake line too, because the caliper did not look to bad. Rubber lines are 29 years old too. Thanks, Marc.
