1970 Firebird factory shoulder harness question.
Can anyone tell me if the factory shoulder harness from a 1970 Camaro would be the same as a factory shoulder harness from a 1970 firebird? TIA.

yes.
They are the exact same parts. FYI; The "female" half of the lap belts, are the exact same pieces used with the "male" portion of the shoulder belts. |
Thanks for info. That is exactly what I needed to know. I finally found the 1970 shoulder harness assemblies on E-Bay I have been looking for the last 5 or 6 years, and they are even the correct color but advertiser said they would only fit a Camaro even though the details said they came from a Firebird. Just wanted to make sure before I pulled the trigger. Thanks again

There is a difference between deluxe seatbelts and the standard ones. The first picture is of a standard seatbelt, and the second picture is of a deluxe seatbelt.

Yes. I forgot to mention that the car I am working on has standard belts although I wish it had come with the deluxe version as they seem less prone to damaged buckle covers and are more compact not to mention more attractive in my opinion.

except for the male lap belt, these belts are the same as those used through to the change over in 1972;
so only the date tag would differ (lets say) a 1970 male shoulder belt from an ealry 1972 shoulder belt. |
70-72 Nova same
70-72 Nova use the same seat belt set-up as a 1970 TA or firebird. has the same one year only retractors. Shoulders and all the rest of the belts are correct.
