Machine Shop in S.E. Michigan?
I need to get my Edelbrock heads milled to reduce the chamber size 8cc and I'm wondering if anyone knows of a good reputable machine shop near Detroit? I've called a few places and they want around $800 to do the deck and intake surffaces 0.040"!

Thanks. I did call them actually. They seem ok. The only issue is all the terrible reviews of being money grabbers. I'm worried about dropping off a $6000 set of wide port new edelbrocks and having someone hold them hostage unless I pay whatever their final number is. Nobody will even give me a ball park estimate expet for Holbrook who wants $800! This is basic milling and most reputable places I normally deal with have a fixed cost or least an estimate for that!

Thanks! They look to have decent reviews too. I'll check them out.

Slept through that - they were only a few miles from my house.
The sign on the front would be an incredible piece today! |
I have used the machine shop at the Auto Value on M59 - 3501 W. Highland Rd, Milford, MI 48380. Matt is the machinist there and is very experienced and knowledgeable.

^^^^ My go to guy as well. Unfortunately, auto value corp is shutting him down. i'll let ya know where he ends up.

He's a great machinist but no Pontiac building experience.
