70 gto door question

If you shut the passenger door just until the top of the window touches the seal this is what I get . I guess I’ve never really paid much attention before but is this correct or out of adjustment? If the window is down and shut the door and then try to roll up the window it’s very hard to do. The driver side is the same way but the window rolls up easier and the gap isn’t as big.

Yes. That window is too far tilted in. Take door panel out and there are adjustments in the hardware. Pretty easy to figure out.

Yup....as noted above ....you got some adjusting to do. Then you can lube everything up too. It will take some time...if your not use to all the components that need to be moved ....to achieve the correct fitment

OK thanks. Glad to know that it can be adjusted. Ive never done it before but hopefully once I get in there it will be somewhat self explanatory. Im sure theres not a book somewhere saying how to do it. Once adjusted correctly Im assuming if you slowly shut the door the spacing compared to the rear 1/4 window should be the same?

Get the factory service manual set on CD from Amazon or Ames, etc. You'll get both, the chassis manual and the Fisher body manual.
The Fisher Bidy manual has step-by-step directions for glass adjustment. |
Once you get inside the door guts, it's pretty straight forward. Trial and error as you progress with the adjustment to reach the fit you need.
