Source for good hose clamps
 

So all the hose clamps(heater hose radiator) at Oreily are a bilingual package and made in China.

Anyone have a source for good USA clamps

Cant help other than saying I've kept a lot of the old aeroseal clamps.

ACE hardware has SS hose clamps.

Fairly certain they’re not USA made but, OE BMW hose clamps are quite good, at least the ones on my E36 are.

Solid band and stout screw section. IIRC they’re all “narrow”, the band, like 5/16” wide maybe. Maybe something to look into, which is what I was when it comes time to stock up.

Rock Auto carries the Gates hose clamps, which are US made.

Breeze clamps are some of fhe best and are used a lot in the aviation world. Try Aircraft Spruce. They stock most any size, the quality is good and pricing is reasonable.

Avoid the clamps from Harbor Freight.

It amazes me folks are making and selling product that is purchased before it's thrown out. Who'd of thunk there is a market for disposable garbage.

Last time I bought hose clamps from McMaster they were high quality and US made.

Breeze clamps will always have aircraft parts prices. We used a buttload of them in overhauls. Breeze clamps are the best, IMO. If you purchase the thumb screw variety be sure to find your local Snap-On guy for the 1/4” drive socket to install them.

I have a love/hate relationship with Oetiker "Stepless" RE-USABLE screw clamps. (NOT the cheaper and more-common single-use "ear" clamps.) IF you can get them to fit your application, they're WONDERFUL. Thin, for high contact pressure (PSI) without squeezing the hose so bad it cold-flows. There's a trademark "Green" coil spring on the tension screw for constant torque in varying temperature. And "shielded" in that there's no worm-gear openings for the hose to cold-flow through. But where I was using them--primarily on silicone hump-hoses, the wall thickness variation of the hose was so great we needed to stock several sizes of Oetiker clamps to do what should have been identical jobs. In other words, the clamp range of the Oetiker design was so limited that it made assembly difficult. (Or, conversely, the uniformity of the hump-hoses we used was so poor that they were often incompatible with the clamps we were required to use.) Oetiker is "Global", headquartered in Switzerland, manufacturing all over Europe, China, and "North America" (Canada, USA, Mexico.)

I really like the SHIELDED Breeze clamps, especially the "Constant Torque" version with the stack of Belleville washers on the tension screw. The "Constant Torque" clamps are rather huge, and kinda unsightly. But they work VERY well, and they have the usual worm-gear clamp range of sizing. Being shielded, the hose doesn't cold-flow through the clamp.

Unshielded worm-gear clamps are an abomination in any size. Smaller sizes, like fuel hoses, can be clamped with inexpensive "fuel injection" clamps in 1/4", 5/16, and 3/8 sizes. I get mine from Summit.

Oh, yeah. There's a company selling "form-it-yourself" tools using form-to-fit stainless steel "safety wire". My concern is that the wire will eventually cut/damage the hose it's wrapped around. I'm including this because it's novel, clever, and universal, not because I actually approve. (I have not used this system.)

If it actually works without hose damage, the "clamp" would be very inexpensive, but also non-reusable and time-consuming to install.

I just redid EFI on a car and those shielded clamps were the best! As well as using Earls "smooth" barb fittings. The normal barbs FAST supplied the previous owner with that kit were sharp and cutting into the hose.

Quantum Fuel Systems use PEX type clamps on high psi fuel lines, and they do make them in larger sizes for say like rad hoses. But they don't have a wide range of clamping size so you have to buy them to close-fit before tightening. They are the Oetiker type.

If you don't have to R&R the hose often, you can use the Gates PowerGrip shrink ones, but they are 1 use. They are always tight, they tighten in use to some degree. But you may initially have a little seepage. I use them on rad hoses.

I at one time found some good worm clamps online, they made them in black, but can't find where I got them at the moment.

I have a bunch of Gates worm clamps, as I break clamps or if the ones I have start looking crappy I swap them.

Try a local business that sells hydraulic hoses and or industrial belts
They should have some good quality stuff.
