Without a size reference, it's hard to prove. But looks like it might be the oil slinger guard that was mounted on the top front of the A/C compressor.

1984-92 3rd-gen Camaro and Firebird hydraulic clutch slave cylinder cover. How that ended up with '72 Firebird parts who knows?
