68-72 A Body - Anyone cut out the upper torque boxes?

Looking for info on replacing stock upper torque boxes with Merrilat or Wild Rides adjustable upper torque box unit.
Can you do it with the body on?
Any critical tips for removal or install on new unit?

I had my local fab shop install the Wild Rides unit in my 67 a few years ago with the body on. My rollbar is tied to the spring pockets so it all needed to be integrated.
