Molnar Technologies has forged cranks available for around $1100.00.

I know, not wanting to have to spend $1200. Was hoping someone had a cast version sitting around

I have a never-run Scat 4340 that has been lightened and knife edged.

2.200 BBC rod journal.

3.00 main journal.

4” stroke.

Can post pics and figure a price tomorrow (Monday, 2/6). Located in Illinois (Chicago area).

My original intention was to do the same for my 65- basically make a 3" main 421. cost for a 4.25' is the same if not cheaper.

if cast works go up to a 4.25" stroke. That is what I ended up doing for my 389, but I was buying pistons already. Dished 389 pistons are not a cheap hobby...

Butler has cast eagle in that stroke for what I thought was relatively affordable. Spotts is building my engine he said they are good to 6k rpm.

Curiosity got me...How high do you want to rev it? My old stock crank 455 saw 7500 on a regular basis...The 482" turbo engine will see 8000 with a 4.250 crank.

Still looking for a crank

A have a STD STD 421 ArmaSteel. Still holding out for a set of 8 STD 428 piston to fit the 421STD going +030. Also have a set of used TRW 428+040 that check out.

If not then i will go 455+? And get back to you.

Not for $150. I would take $400 for the crank and block.
