Don't know the TV show but this was at a GTOAA show in Southern Calif (Torrence?) in the mid eighties. Owner at the time told me it was from Australia

The TV show was called Land's End staring Fred Dryer.
February 10, 1996 episode has Fred Dryer (Mikes 1966 GTO convertible is stolen). Based in Southern California. It was a great tv series. |

Land's End is currently ( March 2025) ) on Amazon Prime. It is filmed on the Baja Peninsula at Land's End, Mexico. In episode 2 Mike (Fred Dryer) has just purchased a 66 GTO convertible, dark blue with a white interior from Junior's car sales. His daily driver. Has a/c, aftermarket wood wheel, and windshield wipers. Cruises around Land's End as a detective with the top down and the rear quarter glass raised up. I've been to Land's End and can vouch for having a white interior over any other convertible color interior in that climate!
I get a kick out of the show... as his Firebird is to James Garner's "Rockford", the GTO is to Fred Dryer's Land's End. |
