Body weight/body cart
 

'64 A-Body, I'm pulling it off the frame to set on a body cart. What is the approx. weight sans front clip, doors, hood and deck lid?
Also, suggestions please on a body cart, or better yet, which one to stay away from.

If youre handy enough to be putting a car on a body cart you should be handy enough to make one yourself. I built one out of small sized tube steel to fit the dimensions of my second gen f body perfectly. I think I used 1-1/4" stuff? I probably didnt have more than $150 into it including the wheels. It sat in the back of the shop after I was done with. Ended up giving it to a buddy that was working on a '57 chevy. I also built my own rotisserie for less than $300. I gave that away too, but it found its way back, LOL. But then again I am cheap. I would rather spend the savings on the project itself.

I made this body cart so I could roll the body out of the way to work on the frame.

You're talking probably around 600 lbs. I also used wood.
