1966 GTO ignition switch question

Brand new member here, currently enjoying a frame off restore of a 66 GTO in my garage. Used AAW classic update kit and it went fairly well for a rookie. But the OEM ignition switch has a terminal labeled "Ign.2" which the AAW kit does not replicate. Original wiring was gone when I started so I couldn't trace it. Anyone know where the Ign. 2 lead went or it's purpose? Thank you!

IGN-2 goes to coil (+) for full battery volts while cranking.

If the AAW kit do not have the yellow IGN 2 wire you may, if your starter has a "R" terminal, connect a yellow wire from there to the + on ignition coil for the same purpose.

Domarinolo, if you don't have it back together and want the parking lights on with the headlights, do this.

Take the purple wire off of Tab 7 it's on and move it to the front left side of the of the switch to Tab 3. That's the taillight tab and both will be on together. The front end looks a lot better at night with both on. And it's safer too with them both on. The law changed in '68 to have both on together.

FYI, the American Autowire Classic Update kit is already configured to run the headlights and parking lights simultaneously when they ship it. No need to make any changes if that's the goal. I used the AAW Classic Update kit in my '66, and made no changes to how they configured it.
