69 Convertible 1/4 Rear Window Removal
The passenger side 1/4 window in my 69 convertible is off track and I believe a bracket or guide wheel is broken. I can’t get a good view of it while it’s installed and can’t find a tutorial on removal. Is anyone here familiar with the process for removing the glass and assembly?

I can't belive someone hasn't answered you yet. I believe you remove it same as front door glass. Unbolt it from the track and remove thru the top. Then you can disassemble track and wiggle it thru the frame work . Just make sure you mark all adjustable pieces on location so on re-assembly you can put parts back. This should save adjustment time.

I just reinstalled my rear 1/4 glass after having them removed for over 10 years. It wasn't difficult, but my interior was out. If your weatherstripping (and interior panel) is in place and if the plastic vent in the door opening is installed, you can't see much of anything. Remove the vent in the door opening first and see if that improves your view. If not, you will have to remove the interior panel with its window seal to see more.
If you have to remove the window, there is an access cover inside held in by 6 screws. The actual window register is held in by four bolts. |
