2017 GMC Sierra 1500 - Brake Pads
What brake pads are currently considered good quality and quiet? I’m sure the GM OE pads (ceramic) are good but like buying diamonds. I’ve used Akebono pads in the past with good results. Any other suggestions?

Akebono pads are very nice. I like them. As many know, I am a NAPA master dealer so I use allot of Silent Guard and the more expensive Adaptive One lines from them. The cheap and cheaper Performer brand and Stop Rite lines from NAPA are crap. If you like Rock Auto, the Power Stop line are nice pads as well. They are pretty aggressive however. Great for towing and heavy duty use.

Last year prior to towing a bunch of stuff during my move from NY to TN I bought these from Rock
BOSCH BSD1363 (Heavy Duty (Long Life, Truck & Tow)) Severe Duty; Semi-Metallic Work very well, are quiet, but horrible break dust. |

Thanks. I was looking at the GM OE Brembo pads. I don’t have those thankfully.
