Is the top installed or are you preparing to install it?

It was installed 9 Months ago. By a restoration shop. It is black.

If you just had the top down and how long it was down it usually takes a day to a week with top up for wrinkles to come out. If you can set it in the sun the heat will take them out faster. If I were you I would go back to the shop that did the install and check with them. Anything you do to it may ruin the warranty.

Some time ago I was doing some research for a 1966 Mustang restoration. I came across an article about Mustang assembly plants. The article that said, in the plant, if they had wrinkles in the convertible top they would use a 1600 watt heat gun. Most home hair dryers are 1200 to 2000. I have used this technique and it works well. The wrinkles may not spring right out, It may take a few days for the vinyl to relax. At least that is what I have found on mine.

If it had wrinkles in it from the shop and they said they would come out over time, they may not. It may be the install. I did my own and I have that issue.
