Look out new scammer attempt
 

I just received two PM’s from a new member named Eric responding to my WTB ads telling me to email a member here via Gmail, total scam so be aware!

Me too Carl. The interesting part was he mentioned 65nss4spdGTO who is a member here having the cam I posted I was looking for with a contact email. They are getting smarter

Member Eric has zero posts.

Joined December 30 1999 so not a new member, last active September 12 2002.

Are you sure? Maybe the Eric username you said contacted you has an underscore after it or?

Just now found: Eric_ is a new user who joined March 4 2025.

Exactly, I sent a PM to 65nss to confirm vs using the Gmail link but they are for sure getting smarter

I also had a message from Eric about a WTB ad with the same member 65nss4spdGTO and email address. They’re trying all angles

I just got a pm from Eric. All the info you all mentioned is the same I got.

Last active 3-18-2024 which only mods and admins can access.

So do your due diligence and research, 65nss4spdGTO hasn’t been an active member for quite some time so he quite likely won’t be sending any messages regarding parts.

And 65nss shows last time on for all when you look at public profile

Some profiles won’t show their last active date because they’re using invisible mode.

Idk why this post count thing isn’t set up better a long time seller here could have zero posts. Just cost me RAV parts because someone had zero posts. Figured it was hacked.

Maybe it should be that you can’t post classifieds without 100 posts or something

This one is more than a spam bot. This is a person who is reading the want ads and trying to hook us with the specific part we want.
