Muncie 4 speed ID (69 Firebird?)
 

I recently bought a Muncie 4 speed, M20. The partial VIN on it is 29N107XXX, I have spent about an hour online and I've only found one guy who lists info that makes it decode as follows. I'm wondering if anyone can confirm he is correct that it would be from a Firebird with this decoding?

2 = Pontiac

9 = year (1969) which makes sense by the number on the case, tailhousing and side cover

N = Norwood Ohio plant (he says the only Pontiac made in Norwood in 1969 is a Firebird

107XXX = last 6 digits of the VIN

Yes, I would say if that's what is stamped, it was placed in a 1969 Firebird at the factory.
