64 bumpers

Anyone know if a 65 rear GTO bumper would fit on a 64? I have the original but its in terrible shape. My local chrome shops start at 1,000 bucks to rechrome. Just a few years ago rechroming was around 300 bucks.

Won’t interchange,

One year only part.

You might could physically get one mounted.
But it will look totally ridiculous.
Completely different contours.

Yea I'm getting desperate at this point..lol
Any idea of alternatives to chrome?

California should have some decent shiny ones , but not show quality perhaps.

They have paint replica processes for chrome now.
And vinyl wrap.
Neither are full equal to real McCoy , but you can only see one bumper at a time.

Or do both bumpers with the chosen process.

Yeah 1100 was the going price at Tri City. I just had one redone about 2 months ago, and it was closer to 1300

You could get a fiberglass bumper and have it done in CosmiChrome. I had it done with front and rear bumpers for a 72 4-4-2, it can look very sharp. you'd probably be $600 into that option. It could be a temporary solution until you find a stock bumper that meets your needs.
