Reproduction 1967 Wood Grain Sports Steering Wheel
 

Does anyone reproduce a correct looking 1967 wood grain Sport Steering wheel?
Same diameter and depth as the original with the proper wood grain and color, same metal finish, and the rivets on the back? The only ones I have seen for sale admit that they are not correct. I can imagine that restored originals are big bucks. Thanks.

I purchased a reproduction wood grain sport steering wheel kit for my 1968 GTO convertible from The Parts Place at $430. Installed and looks great. Much better than my original OEM Black steering wheel with cracks. After a couple of years the reproduction wood steering wheel had a 1/8 inch crack in the wood rim. My GTO never sits outside. The car is always in a temperature controlled shop in Texas. When I contacted The Parts Place about the issue, they advised I was the first one to report any issue with their steering wheel. I sent photos to their Customer Service department. No response from them. Good luck with your search.

Most likely all the repro wheels are made by the same manufacturer. Good luck finding one.

I lucked out here - posted that I was looking for a good used item, preferred light wear.

Paid up for it, but to me the transaction was fair to both, seller great. Packed and padded like no tomorrow.

Even better than described. We will see how much I still like in when installed and driving it, the dish is reported as very deep and may not be suitable to all drivers.

Might be worth looking for a good '68 wheel, which I'm told is shallower but otherwise very similar looking, which could be an alternative if you don't have a points judged car.
