Identify this power antenna?

I'm stumped. I got this in a parts trade with a friend thinking maybe it was a 64-66 'ish GTO or full size power antenna but from what I can find online it's neither. Does anyone have an idea what this is from? Everything about it says mid 60's Pontiac but my online searching for a twin to it has been fruitless.

Thanks!

Is there a number under the adapter?

I just looked it over and not a single identifying number sadly.

I can't see it being a B body unit because it's so short. And because it angles back and has the Pontiac style nut I don't think it's Chev/Old/Buick from what I've seen.

The mystery continues!

I ran it up and down this morning. It's nice and straight which is refreshing. These things are always bent it seems.

It looks a lot like this one:

Hmm, the bottom part does but the adapter (I hope that's the right term) at the top is not the same between the 2 units. Mine angles back more than that one. But it does make sense that it would be Firebird because it's so short.

Looks like the one on my 1965 Bonneville. Mine tilts back and mast goes all the way down. My GTO one the mast does not go all the way down.

FWIW- like G'Racer1, my '65 Cat bottoms out, my '66 Goat shows @ 2" at rest

Would you guys be willing to check the length of the tube on your B body antennas? This one is under 9" as shown and I was under the impression (maybe wrongly) that the tube on the Bonneville is quite a bit longer than that.

Could that be a front fender mount antenna?

Measurements w/o the motor....GTO +/- 11", Cat +/- 16".

I'm in Canada and our 60's Pontiacs never had front mount power. Did the US models? I've sure never seen one on any US cars.
