As a transporter who (even though I am cutting back some) still runs close to 100K miles per year, fuel prices are the single most important expense I have. I am now filling up most of the time with diesel in my trucks at or below $3.00 per gallon in most of the country. When I get around states like Californication ,New Yuck, Etc I make sure I am filled up at the lower prices before entering. I can run around 600 miles on a fill up so (for the most part) those states get NONE of my money. Perfect example : I sold my old enclosed trailer to a friend in Gettysburg, Pa & agreed to deliver it to him yesterday. I filled up here in Ohio for $2.99 per gal. for diesel just before the border, delivered the trailer & made it back to the same station late the same day saving a minimum of $1.00 per gallon for the trip. $2.63 for 87
It bounces around a lot here. Between 2.60 to 2.99 - on any given day it can jump from 2.65 to 2.95. Within a week or so it goes back down. |

About $4.75 for 87 here in San Diego.
Not everyone's cup of tea, but paying $4.38 for a 195 miles isn't to bad. Home charging rate. Car has a 315 mile range. https://forums.maxperformanceinc.com...5&d=1749156609 I do have to pay EV road taxes ($118) through my annual registration. No political replies please. Just showing the alternative. |

Did see a young man&woman on a moped/scooter the other day with a baby stroller hooked behind it. The stroller wheels were wobbling and it was going side to side like a snake. New age family sedan. |
