Project Pro Port

I received my big port pro ports and my worked BOP intake from BES. Their work looks killer, although my 2.5 year said the intake didn’t look good & needs work. After several phone calls & texts between BES & Scott Brown Scott sent me a pretty sweet little cam for this project . I still need pistons, rings & shaft rockers but am going to finish the season with my dci-5 build.

Very nice!

Really nice! Heads come with shaft rockers or you still need to get those?

Gotta get them & I about shat myself when I saw the prices now. I was telling Paul earlier today I gave like 1200-1300 for the t&d shaft rockers in 2015 & now they’re over $2600.

Crazy how prices have gotten out of hand. I just looked in 2022 I paid $1980 for a set.

Yes to the 11 degree & not sure about flow numbers . I did ask about flow numbers & got this response
“i did not flow your heads but i can give you flow numbers for those heads”.

Got home this afternoon with project pro port. Engine builder only made 3 dyno pulls and I feel there’s more there but overall it should be a nice piece . It made 1078 hp @ 7200 & 858 ft lb trq @ 5600 with a 1250 get’m carb & a APD throttle stop. First pull timing was @ 35, second was 32 & final was 32.5. Not sure what gas they used but I think fuel factory F14. I also attached my ram air 5 dyno sheet.

Great job! Thanks for sharing

Matt,
Congratulation that is a huge increase in mid range power.

Very nice! What cubic inches, and what compression ratio?

Thanks Stan.
I figured the average hp between 6500-7500 with this combo vs my dci5’s & dad’s dci 5 as well. Pretty happy with the numbers since the pro port had the highest average. Can’t wait to get it on the track. I’ve talked to my converter guy & he wants to start with the same converter I ran with my 5’s. Trying to make it an even playing field to see what real life track data shows.

Congratulations to all involved. Making this type of power at this lower rpm shows how much more efficient this combination will be! Can’t wait to hear your on track results!

Paul, where do we go to get around the problem? I'd love to know too. Thank you Sir!

Matt1970gto 07-19-2026 09:52 PM

Pro porr

I took the car to a local track about a month ago & went 5.34 @ 130 w/1.20 60 ft in 3400 ft air. It won’t let me upload the video here but the converter was too tight , lazy coming up & lazy down track. Just got the converter back in & was hoping to try it last night but the rain won.
