1970 Replacement Trunk Pan question

1 Attachment(s)
I’m replacing the entire trunk pan and frame rails in my 70 Formula. All the repop pans are not correct for a 70, as they have the provision for the 71> evap standpipe, (circled).
For those that have done this on a 70, how did you rectify this situation?
It’s not just as simple as welding the standpipe hole closed, as this whole area circled is shaped differently.

Always cut them on the slope going up to that area, straight across. The frame rails may need some tweaking on the side lips, and the end where it has one folded in edge, and the other flaps spot weld to the inner rear panel.

Unfortunately the pan was rusted pretty high up on that slope, and I already cut it before I realized how different it was. It’ll never look correct but I’ll figure something out.
