Picture of wire going into temp sending unit
 
Can anyone that has a fairly original trans-am around a 1979 post a picture of the wire going into the temp sending unit, I need to see the routing and the color of the wire.

Temprature is rising What to do ?
 
Have '63 Grand Prix What to do for temp Rising above 180 degrees.Question:What do you have to do to keep that 389 Running at 180 all day long,With out converting to Small block chevy Water pump, the combination Timing Chain Cover and Water Pump Properties are not a good Desighn.

I am not understand. This post is about wanting a picture of a sending unit on a 79 trans am. I do not even have a 389

I am trying to recall what my 79 had.
The wire I know came out of the Alternator harness, the wire I want to say was dark green, but not sure.

Green wire, routes through a black plastic tie in valve cover, loops around out front, rite into the Con loom.
White connector on the wire
