G-Body parts

Well I thought parts for my 71 GTO were hard to find but 81-87 Grand Prix parts are about impossible anymore. I've been having problems for years with the driver side door on my 85. Inner structure breaking apart and the top of the door. Plus trying to keep the power windows working properly.
Yard I normally deal with didn't have any doors w power, and wanted $200 a piece for manual doors. I got lucky and found a pair of manual doors for $200 for the pair. Over a two hour drive to get them but other than one minor dent they're perfect condition. I think I may try to start hoarding G-Body parts and maybe help someone else out down the road.

I feel your pain. I've owned, driven, parted, or flipped about 40-50 G-bodies (and they were technically called "A"s from 1978-1981) since about 1989. Good doors for any of the G-body cars can be problematic. Grand Prix is generally tons harder to find parts for compared to the others, it wasn't nearly as popular, even though they did some neat stuff as well. At least Regal and Cutlass doors interchange. I've always loved the platform and am down to only three: 84 Hurst/Olds, 87 Cutlass Salon, and 1983 Cutlass Wagon. Good luck!

I've owned a few Monte Carlo SS' and Grand Nationals, and currently still have my 87 GN. The aftermarket has really expanded for them, but there's definitely some parts that aren't easy to come by.

I imagine the GP is the worst of the G Body lineup to get parts for

Tell me about it. Finding Sage green interior components is akin to finding ivy gold interior components. Yes, I have been blessed with both of these interior colors in my two Pontiacs.

There's Gbodyparts.com in Indiana. I know he has LOTS of G body 2+2 Grand Prix parts cars.

And as I discovered recently all the part store support is gone for that style of steering column. No bearings, no tilt pivots. Deemed obsolete!

I do business there. But didn't have any power doors and wanted $200 a piece on manual doors. I bought a pair in Reidsville for $200. Whites has gone up on prices lately.

Mr.Gibsons old place in Reidsville - maybe ?
His brick house was out front - junkyard sprawled out all around it on both sides and behind it.

Whites had always been super reasonable.
But I haven't been in years.

Gibson was also always good on prices.
