Have you tried Trim-Clips-R-Us? Sorry, couldn't resist. You need to be a little more specific so we can help.

Place a ‘parts wanted’ ad in the appropriate classified forum for the rear quarter window trim clips you’re looking for. People who have collected parts for years often look through those forums to peddle their parts.

If all else fails
I can probably dig some out in a couple or few months.

Use to grab all the good post moldings I could find , and their clips.
Sold "most" of the moldings but still have a good collection of clips
- somewhere - in a box - with 300 other boxes.

Do the clips for the aluminum trim go on the trim first or go on the body first then the clips

Baron Von Zeppelin 07-27-2025 02:25 PM

I'm really not sure on that.
On the majority of the moldings I removed , the clips stayed on the car.
Once in a while one would stay attached to the molding.
if i remember correctly

Seems like the clips would go on the body first.

Did you find some clips ?

Realized I have another source(s) for some original clips.

I need 12 good clips

Someone had some on here for sale, but I missed getting them. I dont know of any reproductions available.

I've got two 64 4door post , and one 65 4door post , parts cars , that I haven't ever taken the window moldings off of yet.
The clips will be the same.
Highly doubtful anyone will ever want any of the 4door moldings.
Still would rather not damage them.
Right now don't even know if all the doors will still open on those cars.
If they won't open , that will likely mean destroying the moldings to get them off.

Will have to wait for a cooler day to go after that task.
Terrible heat & humidity here right now.

The ones I have from 35 years ago are like NOS.
But that's an even bigger ordeal right now.

If demand were sufficient, I could get these made, but I'd probably die with more sets than I could sell

The shop that did my paint exhausted all possibilities for these clips and the decision to use 3M automotive tape was made
