Holley Canbus protocol
1 Attachment(s)
I am late to the party, but i just now learned that holley have released their canbus protocol. i guess that would open up posibilities for custom displays, Android head units and Arduino based microcontrollers, that i am just reading up on now.
ordered a android 14 based headunit with carpay, bluetooth, gps etc. there is a great thread about it on ls1tech : https://ls1tech.com/forums/pcm-diagn...can-bus-5.html |
That seems like cool tech. I would love to port over my efi (FiTech) info to my head unit. For that matter, using something other than a dedicated handheld would be nice, eg use my android phone or other device. Integrating efi, digital lcd gauge displays, and a touchscreen head unit would be the technological convergence I could geek out on. Someday soon, maybe!

i like to geek out over this too, but i have a steep learing curve to do. I have used AI to help me build the arduino code for a ESP32 board (this board have wifi and bluetooth) joined with a MCP2515 board (canbus reciver).
I have uploaded the holley canbus protocol to the AI program to help me build the code so i can transfer canbus data over bluetooth to the andriod headunit, where i will download holley's app for sniper 2 link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...ley.efi.sniper since both holley sniper 1 and 2 now uses the same firmware i guess the data communication over canbus will be the same, this migth be a longshot. So far it has been a nigth of endless searching for libraries to add to the andruino IDE software. |
