For Garage I need caster wheels for 4 engine cradle stands

I have 4 complete engines. I made cradles for now I want to put casters on them, ease to move around. I was thinking HF but I'm leary of their quality. BUY it once. I'm thinking certain brands of rubber tired casters we used at Kennametal. I'm wondering what you guys have used. Thanks agsin

Go to the McMaster Carr supply site, they have any type you might ever possibly need.

Metal wheels rated for full weight each.. if welding on prevent slag from spattering on ball bearings

Ordered ,rubber wheels. With plates I'll probably bolt them on. I have metal wheels on my engine cranes (2)and floor jacks. I have one other cradle with used 3 " rubber HD casters I like the 'rubber'. Seems easier to start moving. Thanks again guys.

I've got half a dozen engine carts I built over years. I found that ones built with rubber wheels that arent over sized for the load for the load have a tendency to develop flat spots. In other words the two carts I built with 200lb rated wheels got flat spots and the one I built with 500lb wheels hasn't. The rest I built have metal wheels. Other than the one made of a 30 year old grocery cart which still rolls like new after decades of holding a 455.

When searching for casters for my pallet racks I ended up going with pieces from Grizzly, seemed the best mix of quality, price, capacity. I think they were 600 lb rated, a REAL 600 lbs, not an Amazon 600 lbs :)

JEGS sets made for this exact purpose are reasonably priced and good quality. Every non metallic wheel I’ve tried flat spot if stored for lengths of time..
