Combo wrench with flex socket end
Combo wrench with flex socket end
Anyone know where I can get this type of wrench? Snap-on has them, I know. At Snap-on pricing. Looked at most popular brands but not found them yet. George |

Are you talking the ones in the attached image?
Craftsman sold these a number of years ago. There is a set on Ebay now for $185. Much more expensive than what they were when I bought mine, |
That style of wrench is not popular anymore. I have some in assorted sizes, but rarely use them. Maybe about once every couple years or so. The much more popular replacement wrench for that design is flex head gear wrench style wrenches. They come in standard and long pattern, flex and locking flex designs by various manufacturers. You know what you want, but consider looking at them. Otherwise, I would think there are plenty of used combo/socket head wrenches out there.

That's the style I'm looking for. I already have the flex head ratcheting style. Thanx for the info.

Watch ebay and be patient. Note that most good BIN deals go fast. The ones you see browsing active listings are generally priced high and don't sell quickly, if at all.
IMO, the best deals for used quality tools that you plan to use are probably going to be brands like SK or Proto (maybe even Matco?). You will always pay a premium for the Snap-on name. Craftsman often seems to demand a premium that can be out of line with quality. Full sets probably generally demand more as well - if you only need a few sizes, you may find a good deal on a partial set that is missing one or two sizes you don't need. |
Dura-tech brand on Amazon:

Thanx Sirrotica and others! This style seemed to be perfect to use on the block drains of my boat engine while leaning bent over the seats and reaching under the exhaust manifolds. I misplaced the one I had and using a different style wrench is just not the same.
