1971-3 exhaust tips (extensions)

Title used to say 1974.
So, I picked up a set of OE tips and they have a paint line. Were they blacked out at the factory or is it overspray when re-blacking the underside to cover the flash rust? Or ??? Dang, looked at the PN and they're 1971-3 tips. |
