Kick panel - more B.S.
 

Finally got the kick panel off the driver's side of my 1972 LeMans GT non-A/C car.

In the body cavity behind the panel was the insulation / sound deadener just laying there not glued to anything.

It doesn't look like jute. It's just a yellowish, soft fiber that's seen better days.

What can I use to replace it with and EXACTLY what areas in the body cavity was it supposed to be glued to? THANKS.

Here is a photo of the RH vent in my '67 GTO. You can see some of the insulation still glued to the inside. The stuff reminds me of fiberglass insulation but I'm not sure what it really is.
