Met a gentleman, from online, about two years ago, discussed his 1968 firebird. He had just picked it up and was having some issues, tried to help
Him out and let him know if the car was ever available to let me know I may be interested. Well, he called Wednesday and I brought it home
Yesterday. Car is originally 400/4speed/non posi cameo white with standard red guts and black vinyl top. Only original drivetrain parts left are Muncie and the early 216 cylinder heads. Now has 455 and 3:42 8.5" posi.
I am going to undo whatever modifications I can to make it stock appearing. Plan on a 428 and long branches. Stock pulleys intake etc.
car is lordstown build but sold out of Utah. Going by the Match books And pens in the glove
Box it has seen time In Oregon, Arizona and New Mexico. I have found some
Facebook visibility from The guy I purchased it from in Massachusetts. He believes the original block
Is out there most likely in Massachusetts but that information conduit apparently was Severed. So if anyone has an early block I have the eun to match up if it's Available purchase. also looking for driver quality red interior parts.

Thanks and just wanted to share. Not super original but I am Glad to own her. if anyone may have had it passed thru their hands please fill in some Blanks. Title shows 151k and the previous owner believes it to be true. Someone drove the crap Out this ol girl

Congrats. To each his own, but why not keep the 455? A stock steering wheel would do wonders, but I like the 17" Rally II's on the car.

I believe the 455 has the dreaded kb ring land issue. It runs pretty good but there is def something going on if I can't pin point it I'm Not going to risk hurting a gd 455. And I conveniently have a 68 428 that is just coming out of the machine shop that I didn't have a home for so....now I do
I do not like the 17" on this car. I'm
Going to put them on my 71 and 14x7s on this car
