break light on
 

So, i had the rear end out of the 68 GTO, finally got the breaks all bleed out they work great just like before.
But the break light is on, and I can't remember how to get it go out!
It has the 69-72 style combination valve on it, I know it has something to do with the little button on the end?

Brake pedal

Sensor on other side of the pedal arm (mini flash light looking thing threaded into the bracket)

This sensor body can be turned in or out and adjust the tip

There's supposed to be a gap between the two so that when you're not on the pedal the sensor male comes 100% out.

Yours might be touching the pedal at all times causing the light to go on. I had this issue last year after some brake work and luckily caught it before 24 hours and full battery drain.

Check your parking brake first. It may not be releasing fully allowing the brake light to stay on. If ok, then check the hydraulic side.

Pull the tan wire off the distribution valve and see if the light goes out. If it does you need to reset the internal switch mechanism by creating a pressure differential between the front and rear brakes.
Reconnect the tan wire and slightly open a bleeder on the front or rear brakes. Gently press on the brake pedal with the ignition "ON' to monitor the brake light. If no change, open a bleeder valve on the other end and re-try.
If you remember whether it was the front or rear brakes you bled from last, try the opposite end first.

Yes, I should have said the break waring light in the dash.

Had this too after I got the car back, forgot the high beams were that wack a mole nub near the firewall your left foot hits. Then the parking brake was slightly depressed, got familiar with both real fast again. Hahaha
