Holley Street Dominator versions
 

I have a Holley SD going on one of my engines because my 71 HO intake barely made it out of Dave's SD performance shop fire a few years ago when getting a full port job.

I picked up two more Holley SDs yesterday from a very nice gentleman, I thought is would be interesting to post pics here since they are the two different versions I know of the SD.

My memory is blurry but wasnt one made to line up with the shaker hood or something? The carb pad position seems a little off and one is obviously.more open ( less casting) .

Can someone shed aome light on this . Just curious.

Nice! The one that's not cut out around the EGR boss is the first design. I always thought they changed the casting a bit to save on material. I never noticed any other differences. The first design definitely weighs a good amount more than the second.

Looks like the one I got 2nd generation one got it with the last 400 motor I bought

There are three versions that I know of. I'll look after the show to see if I have pictures of them.

I perfer the later version like yours

First one has more aluminum and
FIRING ORDER
18436572 in front.
Second one had
FIRING
ORDER
18436572 in back.
Third one had
FIRE ORDER
18436572 in back.

Those manifolds are crying for a bead blasting to look pretty again:)
I'll have to go in the attic and look at mine. Never been on an engine, got it form Speedway years ago!
They also have the W casting mark from Winters foundry like most of the factory GM aluminum manifolds.

Isn"t the second and third the same?

Edelbrock Buick Performer Carb pad is set. about 1" to the rear vs B4B.

Got the third version
