69 GTO front lighting electrical issue.
Hopefully the forum give give some direction to start.
Rebuilding 1969 GTO, new Light harness, Engine harness, and Dash harness installed. Finally fired up the car, running well, started checking lights and found problem. Headlights work, driver marker does not, passenger running lamp 50%, passenger turn weak, does not work with headlights on. I know is wired and grounded correctly at the grill, I know is connected correctly to firewall fuse panel, Thoughts on where to go next? Steering column? |

run a temporary ground wire from battery to the housing of parking light,,,,
its not a 3 wire plug only power to the hi lo filiment and your housed in a fiberglass surround ... with fresh paint you may not be grounding between the nut n the rear clamp bracket ,,, then theclamp bracket needs to ground to the valance,,, then valance to fender or center support or power rad support,,, so lots of places to loose a ground and to make one also I guess |
Does have new housings for running lights and side markers. Caught issue at end of the day, will start probing tomorrow evening. Will also run the ground wire direct. Thanks, will try to reply tomorrow evening with results.
