Interesting Fremont oddity or not??
 

Yesterday I was told by someone in the know that 65s built in Fremont had the upper part of the instrument cluster plastic housing painted the same color of blueish gray as the 64s did between the ribs on dash trim and console top. I'm speaking of the area where the speaker switch is mounted. To my knowledge, all were the non glare black, both top and bottom, all plants. Definitely different to me!!

Would anyone having a Fremont built 65 original or survivor please check this painted area above the gauges to see what color it is painted.

Here is an Original 12A Fremont build ‘65 Convertible.

Dash bezel looks to have a BLACK surround to me where the optional switches would mount.

The ones in my Feb built Fremont car were black.

My January built Fremont car was black.
