Rear shock absorbers for 1967 Firebird
 

I seem to be having a hard time finding rear shock absorbers for our 1967 firebird. The shock absorbers on our car do not have the steel bushing in the rubber insert at the bottom of the shock. All of the shocks I seem to find are for 68 and later where that steel bushing is already installed in the rubber of the shock absorber. Can I get away with getting a set of 68 shocks and removing that bushing?
