2004 GTO alternator

After twenty one years and 113000 miles the alternator gave up. It's fairly tedious to access and remove the alternator but the one thing I have left to do is figure out how the electrical plug is retained so I can remove it without damaging it.

Does anybody have experience with this particular procedure and can provide some insight? Much obliged.

The battery feed cable will always be bolted down to a stud.
The plug in harness has a tab that needs to be pinched in to unlock it from its female receiver.

Thank you VERY much! With that info I was able to look at the new alternator and identify exactly where that tab was. Since the alternator is located at the bottom of the engine, it is difficult to get the eyeballs close enough to see where that tab is and there is very little room to even get your hands in.

That new alternator is now in place and nothing was broken in the process. Thanks again.
