1970 Repop Front Valance Panel Quality
 

I would like some opinions on the fit quality of the reproduction front valance panels.

I'm debating on whether I should repair my original one which has some rust, some cracks and has a tweak on one end where it attaches to the fender. I'm on the fence to repair or replace it but if it takes five hours to repair my original or five hours to make a repop fit, I'll repair my original.

Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated.

No personal experience, but I have an NOS valance I would sell.

If your original is repairable for the same hours of labor, I suggest sticking with the original. Even the "NOS" ones are not correct and will require cutting and re-welding the parking lamp supports to make them work.

i ultimately bought a new one, mine was solid-ish but saw a few bumps. After assembling entire front end for fit , it turned out well. alot of work for a 70

Thanks for the advice guys. I agree that if its cost effective, I'll keep the original. I just wasn't sure how authentic the repops were...

I recall when they were first reproduced years ago they claimed they were using the original GM tooling to make them.
They did fix the incorrect turn signal mount position that the last run that NOS valances had.
