Just trying to help after this accident. Husband and wife in our Pontiac car club traveling on Pa Pike near New Stanton brakes failed on their newer Ford Fusion in traffic. He tried to avoid hitting slowed traffic went off right side of road,he hit pa dot truck picking up dead deer. Car is unrecognizable. Husband home long recovery,wife wife in nursing home long recovery. Son is documenting all info. Just posting this for others (I'm no expert)check your Fusions,after reading problems on net.

That's terrible!! What year was the car and what part of the country?

The brake line on our 2001 Durango rusted through due to road salt. The line broke and I had two pumps before the reservoir was empty. Fortunately, I was going slow and the parking brake worked.

Just a quick search;
2013—2019 Ford FusionŽ and EdgeŽ — Front Brake Hose Recall
That's a lot of years,you would think after a year or two they would know they(FORD) had a problem. Bob hope everyone recovers well.
