Window trim mounting things and how to install them
 

Hello I'm not sure what they are called, I'm sure they can be bought. However what's the best way to install them. I have a mig /tig welder. Also is there an ideal number you need?

They make screw in studs for replacements, the weld in ones say they need a "stud welder" with appropriate tip. The link above explains whats needed. Screw in are much easier to install.

Stud welder is the best way to do this and most come with a pack of the rivets and correct tip. If you use screws, you are creating a major rust issue down the road. Even if you seal the holes, the window channels are exposed to moisture, and the holes will rust. If you don't plan on keeping the car for very long, the screws will be fine.

There's a guy named Kevin something that has a bunch of videos titled Garbage Camaro and he has a good video on installing the weld on version of the trim studs.
