Shipping to Canada
This morning, I attempted to mail a carburetor rebuilding kit to Canada only to find that this is a prohibited item !!!!! Cannot mail parts to Canada for vehicles that may cause smoke ?????

I had that problem ~1994 with an OHC-6 in full dress ( minus carb). Canada shipping claim was it was considered technology transfer and needed to be cleared.
It cleared. |
Wow!
If they have a us close to the border address they can have stuff shipped to, that may work. |

weird.
I've ordered multiple carb kits and carbs, and never had a hiccup. Maybe change the description to "gasket kit"? |

This, by the way is new. We shipped another kit a couple of weeks ago with no problems. Jon |
Would there be a chance that maybe you just got the wrong clerk, that doesn't know what they are doing?

I hope your "gasket set" made it :)
Sent a bell housing to, I believe Holland last year, had to call it a machine base & list it under machinery! What gets me is any parcel crossing the border up there is automatically about 25 bucks. Had a little brake junction block, you know, brass. Guy really wanted it but shipping was about $30+ Feel bad but those car guys are dedicated! |
