Blade terminal or button terminal on 68 Firebird Temp sender for Rally Gauges?
Most places are selling a male blade. What was on the car is the button style which has the connector slide on from the side. Which is the correct style for a 1968 Firebird with Rally Gauges?

Not sure on originality. I had/used the Button on my 69 birds. My 68 GTOs button, and had to use blade in a pinch.
Go with the button if you gots. Probably original. |
Although it's a GTO, the rally gauge sender on my car is a button as well.

I have seem both types on GM cars of the era. Ames list the blade style https://www.amesperf.com/parts/53918/ as "1967-69 CORRECT TEMP SENDING UNIT-ALL WITH RALLY OR AUXILIARY GAUGES". The button style https://www.amesperf.com/parts/63582/ is listed as "1965-72 TEMPERATURE SENDING UNIT WITH RALLY GAUGES"

Blade or button...uses the same connector on the wire. So unless you're being judged on originality, it won't make any difference so long as the sender temp range is correct.
