Not sure why the CR would be Special paint? It was a regular color, unless it was real early build? (forgot what the date was on the phs)

GP had 3 special colors for 1969, could see it being that?

John, it's considered special paint simply because CR was not a standard available color for GP.

CR was a midyear color on all Pontiac cars but it cost extra (unless it was a Judge). It wasn't really a "special order" color but instead an "extra cost" color. It cost $115.85 or $100.05 if the car had a vinyl top.
