After market front speaker
 

Looking for a stereo front speaker that will fit my 67 GTO with factory air. I purchased one from custom auto sound that they listed as fitting with or without a/c. Well....it doesn't! It's about a 1/4-1/2" too deep and will not fit above the center a/c vent. The radio was upgraded so the speaker must be rated at 4 ohms. Has anyone run into this?

Ames sells this stereo speaker. I installed it in mine. Fits good. But, mine does not have AC.

I had this same problem about a year ago. I ended up not putting a front speaker in.
