Detroit Speed subframe w/poncho engine

I want to keep my Pontiac engine in a '74 TA. Has anyone done this WITHOUT shifting the whole drive train towards the rear? Apparently there is no oil pan that can clear the rack & pinion - that I have been able to find. It's a stick, so the shifter would be out of place along with the usual shaker issue (non stock induction).

I have the Heidts system with rack and pinion and a Chevy 383 engine, not sure if that matters although I assume the oil pan is in the same location on both engines. My shifter seems to be in the correct position on mine along with the shaker and my air cleaner selections, although my shaker is mounted to the hood but seems to have plenty of clearance..
